Editorial Independence
The Consumer News operates with complete editorial independence. No advertiser, sponsor, investor or external party has any influence over our editorial decisions. Our journalists are never required to cover or avoid any topic based on commercial considerations.
Conflicts of Interest
All Consumer News journalists and contributors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Staff members may not hold financial interests in companies they cover. We disclose any affiliate relationships in relevant articles.
Sources and Verification
We verify all factual claims through at least two independent sources before publication. Anonymous sources are used only when the information cannot be obtained on the record and the public interest justifies it. We always explain why a source has been granted anonymity.
Right of Reply
Any individual or organisation named in a critical report is given the opportunity to respond before publication. Their responses are included in the article in full or summarised fairly.
Sponsored Content
Any sponsored or branded content on The Consumer News is clearly labelled as such and is produced separately from our editorial team. Sponsored content does not influence our editorial coverage.
