Krasnyi Oktyabr Inc., a wholesale distributor out of Brooklyn, New York, is recalling Starfish Seafood Trio – Cold Smoked Salmon, Halibut and Trout, due to possible Listeria contamination, the FDA reports.
The affected product comes in an 8-ounce vacuum-sealed plastic package with lot number D139149161-153 and an expiration date of Dec. 1, 2027.
Krasnyi Oktyabr Inc. did not manufacture the seafood. The company has notified affected customers and instructed them to stop selling and distributing the product immediately, check for remaining inventory, and notify their customers as needed.
The recall affects products distributed in Georgia, New York, Florida, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
According to the recall notice, potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes was identified by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
Consumers who purchased the recalled product should throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
